About Us
Barrelhouse Blues Band was formed in September 2007 by an unlikely meeting of some old and new musical friends and a benefit looking for a band.  The guys and gal got together for what we thought was a one time gig, but we had so much fun that we decided to stay together and develop our own style and sound of blues.  Since then we've evolved a bit into our 'feel good boogie blues' sound and continue to explore and improve our blues groove.

We're lucky to have found a great group of people who enjoy our gigs as much as we enjoy playin' and are working to keep expanding our eclectic mix of standards and solid but somewhat obscure blues covers.  This year we're extending our gigs 'above the canal' and further south in Delaware, Maryland, the Eastern Shore, and even the beach areas.  And we continue to be available for worthy benefits, Sign Us Up!

Bottom line is that we really love playin' and mixing it up with the audience.  This band is about good music and FUN!  Believe it or not, we still feel like kids getting away with something every time we get to play!  The band has recently introduced a new lead guitarist, Tom Nowland, who brings a great energy, style, and sound to the B3 foundation.  Tom stepped in and the band felt like we've been together forever.  Also new to the band is Greg Ruhland.  Greg contributes guitar and vocals and keeps all of us on our toes with his solid rhythm and good hearted antics.  Greg also brings a strong vocal repertoire and depth to the band.

Barrelhouse plays a solid mix of covers from Muddy Waters, SRV, Albert Castiglia, Jimmy Thackery, Dave Fields, ZZ Top, Cream, Clapton, Jimmy Hendrix, CCR, Susan Tedeschi, Albert Cummings, Foghat, and other favorites.

The Barrelhouse Blues Band is "Barstool Billy" Snyder (bass/vocals), Tom Nowland (lead guitar), Greg Ruhland (guitar/vocals), Joe Antonio (drums), and Charlie "Choo-Choo" Rickner (harmonica, vocals, on-stage antics).
