Barrelhouse Blues Band was formed in September 2007 by an unlikely meeting of some old and new musical friends and a benefit looking for a band. The guys got together for what we thought was a one time gig, but we had so much fun that we decided to stay together and develop our own style and Blues. Since then we've evolved a bit into a 'feel good boogie blues' sound and continue to explore and improve our blues groove. Whenever we perform, our number one goal is to have fun and radiate that energy into the crowd.
We're lucky to have found a great group of people who enjoy our gigs as much as we enjoy playin' and are working to keep expanding our eclectic mix of standards and solid but somewhat obscure blues covers. This year we're extending our gigs 'above the canal' and further south in Delaware, Maryland, the Eastern Shore, and the beach areas. And we continue to be available for worthy benefits, Sign Us Up!
Bottom line is that we really love playin' and mixing it up with the audience. This band is about good music and FUN! Believe it or not, we still feel like kids getting away with something every time we get to play! The band has recently introduced a new lead guitarist, Tom Nowland, who brings a great energy, style, and sound to the B3 foundation. Tom stepped in and the band felt like we've been together forever. We really love this power trio +harp format and believe you will too.
Barrelhouse plays a solid mix of covers from Muddy Waters, SRV, Albert Castiglia, Jimmy Thackery, Dave Fields, ZZ Top, Cream, Clapton, Jimmy Hendrix, Albert Cummings, Jeff Healey, and other favorites.
The Barrelhouse Blues Band is "Barstool Billy" Snyder (bass/vocals), Tom Nowland (lead guitar/vocals),
